Equity Solutions

The Platina Equity Solutions team manages the private equity investment programme of families and foundations. We have a mandate to invest a total of €150m in transactions which each require equity/quasi-equity of up to €15m. We do not have the constraints of a closed fund. Besides our ability to invest in traditional buy out, growth and development capital transactions we also provide equity solutions to situations which have strategic or financial features that might deter the traditional LBO investor. These can relate to the duration of the investment, the managerial situation of the company, the geographic scope of its activities, the type of current ownership or the structuring of the investment. Our team has significant expertise in adding value to unusual and difficult situations including executing buy and build strategies and turnarounds of distressed companies.

Our focus is on situations where we can develop with managers a precise operational business plan prior to our investment.

Our team is led by three partners who collectively make decisions on investments and who are actively involved in the transactions from the outset. The team includes a number of directors and analysts who are all experienced in private equity investment.
